On July 20, a public lecture entitled "How to Live with Cancer for 100 Years" was held at Aosa Prefectural Hall in Fukui City, co-sponsored by the Multidisciplinary Cancer Center, Fukui Saiseikai Hospital, and the Fukui Shimbun! Nobuko Akino, an actor who overcame cancer treatment and continues to be active, was the lecturer, and about 450 citizens listened to her lecture.

Ms. Akino, who was diagnosed with cervical esophageal cancer in June 2022, overcame cancer treatment and continues to be active as an actress.
In her lecture, she reflected on how she felt when she was diagnosed with cancer, saying, "I had been taking care of my diet, exercise, and sleep. I was surprised that I had not expected this.
However, she quickly changed her mind and proceeded with her treatment, placing importance on communication with the medical staff.
